The Diary Game: [28/04/2026] Happy Birthday To My Nephew!

It's my Nephew's birthday and as a good uncle, I had to travel from Uyo down to Esit Eket to go and celebrate with my nephew. My sister was so shocked to see me owing to the fact that I never assured her I was coming, I only wanted to take them by surprise. The birthday was quite a beautiful one for a one year old child.

When i left the place, I didn't go back home, I was just going round to see how things were. Honestly, things had really changed over here and the government is working in making sure a rural place such as this is receiving this treat. I just went round and when sister called to know where I was, I told her that I was around and would soon come back.

When I came to the compound, I saw the husband (my inlaw), he was struggling to bring something, I think a part of his bus down, I helped him. I don't know anything about car, so you will permit me for that. After helping him, we had a very long discussion and it actually ended with us striking a business deal that will commence next week.

When I got inside, my sister brought rice with stew. This my sister won't always stop to amaze me. I mean, I wasn't even complaining that I was hungry and she had already brought food for me. I was particular about their visitors and she told me that they were well taken care of. After eating, I told her thank you and then I went to their couch and slept even when the told me I shouldn't sleep there but rather, I should sleep in their visitors bedroom. I just felt comfortable on the couch.

When I woke up, I told them that I would love to go back, at least, be on my way early so that before nightfall, I would've gotten back to my house, my sister asked me to spend the day but I told her I will when I am ready to. She brought so many coconuts and asked me to take them alongside with me and go back home.

When I got to the house, my bruh had already slept. I had to just sneak in and do some things. I took my bath and then I came out to come and warm spaghetti. I wonder why he didn't eat the spaghetti. I sat down on the floor for the food to be hot so I can dish it.

After I finished warming the spag, I took plate and dished the food out and then I began to eat. I ate till I was okay then I took the remaining to the pot and saved it because tomorrow is still another day. Today was a very fun day.

I tried working but we do not have electric light here and that's really worrisome. I have to just manage it the way it is and go to bed so that I can rest after a long journey back home.
