The Dairy Game: Visiting Rubber plantation scientifically known As (Hevea brasiliensis) (04/08/2026)

Hello 🤩 my steemit family , welcome to another episode of my dairy post @utom20, I hope you all are doing super amazing and doing well , most importantly staying healthy, today was another wonderful day and educational day as I was among students who participated in a field trip with my colleagues for the topic"plant population Ecology "course.

Today instead of staying in the classroom, we had the opportunity and the chance of visiting a rubber plantation scientifically know as (Hevea brasiliensis), located in mbioto 1,etinan local Government area, Akwa ibom state.

It was an exciting experience because we were able to observe many concept of ecology we have been learning in classroom.

Indeed during the visit we learn about plant population density, spatial distribution, competition for resources, and the structure of plant population within the plantation.

Most importantly seeing all these concept practically made them much easier to understand than simply reading about them in textbook and also telling us as theory, indeed it was a great experience though.

One of the most interesting part and memorable part of the trip was watching how latex is harvested from rubber trees, the resource people's and the tapping process, the care required to maintain the trees, and the important of rubber plantation to local economy, indeed it was an opportunity to witness the amount of skills and experience involved in starting and maintaining a rubber plantation.

After everything the field trip was indeed an amazing both educationally and inspiring, I was really grateful to my lecturer and the staff to witness how a rubber looks like and what it takes to maintain a rubber plantation ,I personally gain More knowledge about plant and population ecology from after the field trip, everything was more clear to me and understandable.
