The Spanish flag seemed ta fool the British patrols but a shrewd Spanish lookout noticed the tatters in that same flag indicated battle damage. This is not an acceptable look for the Spanish navy (especially with the British patrollin' the same area), so they give ye a brand new flag and let y'er ship pass without inspection.
The Merchant be pleased. (27 "goods" to go.)
