It’s definitely a cultural thing, but hockey bridges that gap sometimes. I’ve seen fans from both sides drop the politics just to watch greatness. Even if you aren't a die-hard, seeing someone like connor mcdavid skate is just pure skill that anyone can respect. I catch games when I can, and that level of speed makes it hard to look away.
