Hello, Steemit!
I am Ashleigh Mattern, a writer and entrepreneur based in Saskatoon, Sask., Canada. I've been working as a journalist since 2007, an entrepreneur since 2008, and as a marketer since 2011.
Entrepreneurship
I'm the co-owner of two businesses, a web development company called Vireo Productions (https://www.vireoproductions.com/) and a sports league called Play Sask (https://playsask.com/).
As a professional writer and marketer and a successful entrepreneur, I'll be sharing my knowledge about writing, marketing, and business.
Reading and gaming
Writing and entrepreneurship are my passions that pay my bills, and reading and playing video games are my passions that keep me sane.
I read 40-50 books per year, and I review nearly all of them on Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/8284235-ashleigh-mattern); I'll be sharing my reviews on Steemit as well.
I always have a video game on the go, and I'll also be reviewing the games I play.

Welcome to Steemit! What's the next evolution after entrepreneur? 40-50 a year, that's where I want to be, I need to read more. Look forward to your future posts, followed! This is a great community.
Once I have the financial freedom to do whatever I want, I'd like to write novels! I have two novels I'm working on now. My secret to reading that many books is making a commitment to read 30 minutes a day. Usually I get caught up and end up reading more!
I'd like to publish a novel also! I've worked on one for a couple years, but havn't done much but let a couple friends read it. Maybe I should try to do that. I'm sure I can fit in 30 minutes a day. I'm sure it will make my writing better
