So it seems I get to introduce myself to all you out there in Steem world so here goes.
I was born a small white child in Miami, Florida....
Oh wait too far back? Well how about I give you the highlights?

I am Moonbat, it means "The maker of unsound decisions" so you may see where this is going.

I just retired at the ripe old age of 43, not because I made wise choices and am now independently wealthy, quite the opposite. After 18 years of being on-call 24 hours a day as a midwife I was tired. If you don't know what a midwife is, that's because it's been obsolete since 1920. Basically I delivered babies in kiddie pools in people's living rooms. It was awesome and honestly exhausting both mentally and physically. But the perks did include cute babies that I did not have to change or feed.

Now 4 months after retirement I find myself looking for something, anything to keep me busy until the next big venture, but I will get to that later. So I thought I would share with you some of the things in my life I love, and that might give you some insight into my life which everyone refers to as "The Nuthouse."

I love traveling so much I started a tour agency that specializes in adventure travel to Cuba and Bali. And with that I move on to the next topic: Politics!
Suffering from whiplash on that transition? Buckle in.
In my world Cuba = Politics. I am the daughter of Cuban immigrants and am very passionate about ending the failed embargo. So much so that I made it my life for several years. I worked as the youth ambassador for the an organization pushing to normalize relations with Cuba. We made so much progress until this year when somehow America lost it's mind and made Trump president. He has set us back 60 years in just about every aspect including US/Cuba relations. Even after leaving the glamour of non-profit work for the glamour of body fluids and placentas, I have remained active in politics and have raised some pretty opinionated kids. Side note, Moonbat is also a pejorative for liberals. I wear both badges proudly.

Then there is my "little" family. We are 6: Me Zach, Seth, Elijah, Ella and Daphne, 2 dogs, 3 cats and a cockatoo Even with an age spread of 26-12 the kids are crazy close and their favorite group activity is finding ways to make me look crazy in public.

Well those are a few things about me. Currently I am keeping busy with all different aspects of cryptocurrency while I wait to open my new business in March. While I can't come right and say what it is, I will say it's HIGH time it becaem legal here in Florida and really every other state.
