Trump Calls off Operation Freedom

President Trump has called off the US Navy escort plan through the Strait of Hormuz after one day, citing new developments in the Iran negotiations. Iran denies that there are developments at all. It is unclear who the President is negotiating with, because it clearly isn't the Supreme Leader. Fun fact: the civilian government of Iran headed by the President of Iran has next to no authority if the Supreme Leader wishes it to be so. The Supreme Leader controls the military and the IRGC.
