THE SPIRITS OF THE PROPHETS ARE SUBJECT TO THE PROPHETS
“And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.”
1 Corinthians 14:32 (NKJV)

There should be no chaos in a meeting where the operation of the gifts of the Spirit is being manifested. If you have a word of prophecy—that is, you are being stirred by the Holy Spirit to prophesy or give a word of knowledge or whatever in a meeting—and another person or people had already spoken or they are still speaking, you should hold yourself and be patient until there is an appropriate opportunity for you to speak or deliver the message (1 Corinthians 14:30–32). If in a congregation, someone is out there in the front, preaching or teaching, you do not just jump up and begin to prophesy at such a time (1 Corinthians 14:30–33).
There would be confusion or rowdiness in such a meeting if that was done. Things should be done in order and decency (1 Corinthians 14:31-33).
Apostle Paul in verse 33 says:
“FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION, BUT OF PEACE.”

Jumping up in a meeting to give a word of prophecy when it is inappropriate would lead to confusion or disorder in the meeting. Thus, the person who wants to prophesy should restrain himself and give the prophecy when it is appropriate as the meeting progresses.
In addition to this is about those who prophesy and do as if they are under a mind control or spell. This usually occurs in some meetings, especially at some so-called spiritual churches. You will see the person giving the prophecy being held by two or three people, doing as if he could not control himself—as if he or she is being controlled by the so-called spirit.
Note:
• The Holy Spirit will not use anyone against his or her will.
• Whatever you are saying or doing through the Holy Spirit would never be against your will.
• It means when you are prophesying, you are not under any mind control or spell. You are still yourself.
• You can choose to say what you believe you have received to be a message from God through the Holy Spirit, or choose not to say it. Thus, there is no need to be moved or pushed here and there by the so-called spirit.
In most cases, such prophecies are not from the Holy Spirit of God. You will not need to suspend your mind before you can be used by the Holy Spirit to prophesy. In fact, your mind should be active to be able to know that what you are saying or prophesying is not contradictory to the written Word, the Bible. When you are told by anyone that you should suspend your mind for the Holy Spirit to come into you and speak through you, know that the spirit that will come into you would be a strange spirit which is not of God.
Your spirit as the person who is prophesying is subject to you. In other words, you can control your spirit. You choose to speak what you believe you are being given or prompted by the Holy Spirit to speak, or you choose not to say it. If you get to the point where your spirit cannot be subject to your control, it means you are under the influence of another spirit which is not of God—a demon.
