HE COULD DO NO MIGHTY WORK THERE
“When he [Jesus] came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.” Luke 8:51 (NKJV)
If God intended to use you in ministering healing or whatever to someone or a group of people, you would have to allow with you, or around you, only those who’s faith would permit God to work.
If Unbelief pervaded the atmosphere of where you are ministering healing, there might not be a desired result—the move of God, or His power, can be short-circuited because of the people’s Unbelief.
Jesus did not allow or permit a number of people to go in with Him when He wanted to minister to the dead daughter of Jairus (Luke 8:50,51). Even some of His disciples were not allowed, except the three; Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the damsel—girl (Luke 8:51).
Unbelief in the atmosphere of where you are ministering would limit and hinder the move of the power of God. This issue of Unbelief made Jesus unable to perform many miracles in Nazareth, his hometown: "But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honour except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on A few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching” (Mark 6:4-6 NKJV).
Where unbelief pervaded the atmosphere, wisdom demands that the minister moves away from where the crowds or multitudes are; for God to be able to move or do whatever He has intended or wanted to do.
If Jesus Christ who had the anointing without measure in His earthly Ministry could be hindered from performing many miracles in Nazareth, because of the people’s unbelief or castigation or contempt; It means It can happen to anyone.
Thus, when you perceived unbelief in the atmosphere of where you wanted to minister to someone or people, move the person or people to another place (Mark 8:22-25); or you restrict the number of people to be allowed in the secluded place (Luke 8:51).
