JESUS DID NOT COME TO DESTROY MEN’S LIVES

“For the son of man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.” Luke 9:56 (NKJV)

We could see in this passage of the Bible that Jesus reproved the disciples who wanted to call fire down on the people who did not receive the ministry of Jesus Christ (Luke 9:52-56). He said He came not to destroy people’s lives, but to save them (Luke 9:56).

Commanding people to die by fire in prayers is not consistent with the Bible, especially the New Testament.

One of the Scriptural passages that would not agree with such a pattern of prayer is found here. If you committed to God’s hand in prayer, those who offended you, He would do whatever He deemed fit to them. God says vengeance is His and we should give place to His wrath: “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 NKJV).

You should allow God to plead your cause, fight on your behalf, rather than fighting for yourself. When a believer or a minister of God uses the anointing on his or her life to call fire down on whoever offended them, such a believer or a minister is not walking or operating by the principles and the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

The New Testament law or commandment is love. The whole commandments are summed up in it: "Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to A neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law” (Romans 13:8-10 NKJV).
