THE PEACE OF GOD

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 (NKJV)

When you walk with God and cordiality is built, you will experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding is about God’s peace and rest that cannot be explained. This kind of peace could only be found in God. There are many people who desire peace but they find it difficult to let God into the affairs of their lives. The reins or control of their lives have not totally been given to God, for Him to lead, direct and control their lives. God wants to have a place in your life which He would be unrestrained to lead and do whatever He wants in your life. Someone who has gotten to that stage is the one who usually experiences the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
• The peace of God is gotten through total submissiveness.
• It is gotten through total trust in God.
• It is also gotten when you have absolute faith in God and are always prompt in obeying whatever He says.
A lot of people, even believers, crave God’s intimacy and cordiality, but the price for them is trust and submissiveness—unwavering commitment and total submissiveness. God is beckoning to many believers, wanting them to move closer to Him than they are currently. True peace could only be found in God through Christ Jesus: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do i give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

What could only be found in God, many people—including believers—are looking for in the world. But they have missed it. They are either expecting peace from another human being or from the things of the world. Such a thing as peace cannot be gotten with money, and it cannot be gotten from fellow humans, but from God only. And the way to it is by building a fellowship and bond with God.

• Are you currently experiencing the peace of God that surpasses all understanding?
• Is there an area of your life where you are withholding total trust and submission from God?
