Itching

Recently, I have had itching in my arms along with mosquito bites on my arms. I like it when it itches. Sometimes it hurts but I keep going. Some of the flies bleed where they bite, some do not, but itches more there. Some people really enjoy scratching. Is this normal or abnormal?
