The Hidden Secret of the Quiet Lake

The chance to find such a place where you can sit and think about everything by yourself has become quite rare these days. However, during the last time I traveled somewhere, I found the place which looks like some kind of a sanctuary. As it is seen from the pictures, it is a wonderful lake which is located between the rocks and old green trees. This place seemed to me like a huge mirror reflecting all its surroundings because the lake was very calm and silent.

At first I was standing near the lake under the bright sky. It can be seen from the pictures how the water reflects the green trees and the white sky over the lake. Around the water there is a little stone wall, which surrounds the lake making it more magical and mysterious. It was so fresh there and the only sound that could be heard was the whisper of the wind in the leaves.

However, there was one more thing I discovered. There was a cave standing by the lake, which I entered and viewed the lake from inside. What a wonderful view! On the other picture, you can see the view inside the cave. The darkness of the arch-shaped natural cave becomes an amazing natural frame for the bright view of the landscape outside. Inside the cave, the rocks standing opposite to me through the water seem very large and strong because of the contrast provided by the shadows inside the cave.

Being in the cave, I felt myself absolutely safe and protected from the rest of the world. Huge rocks standing in front of me seemed my old friends guarding the entrance. Through the water, the beautiful green reflection of plants growing on the opposite bank of the lake can be seen. It is the ideal contrast of the dark, cold rocks inside and bright sunny nature outside.

I took this picture because for me it was the picture of a perfect discovery. It often happens that we think we have already figured everything out, but then we see something different when we start looking from another angle and from within. Now, when everything around me becomes too loud and busy, I just need to look at these pictures. They show me that no matter what, there will always be a silent cave and a mirror lake that will help restore the silence of my soul.
