아이가 다니는 학교에서도 메세지가 왔네요.

오늘은 이슬람력의 신년 휴일인 Al Hijra입니다.
우리나라의 설날과 비슷한 개념으로 이해하시면 될거 같습니다.
622AD에 선지자 무함마드가 초기 이슬람교에 대한 박해를 피하고, 포교를 위해 메카에서 메디나로 이주를 했던 것에서 유래하였다고 하네요.
Hijra는 아랍어로 이주, 포기를 의미하며 히즈라가 일어난 622년이 최초의 이슬람 국가가 창립된 해라고 합니다.

아무튼, 금요일 토요일을 쉬는 관계로 3일간의 연휴입니다... ^^
아이들이 일어나면 바람이라도 쐬러 나가봐야 겠네요.

Today is Al Hijra, a New Year holiday of Islamic power.
You may understand it as a concept similar to Korean traditional New Year's Day.
In 622 AD, the Prophet Muhammad have escaped the persecution of early Muslims and moved from Mecca to Medina for the mission.
Hijra means the relocation and abandonment in Arabic, and the year 622 was the first year which Islamic state to be founded.

Anyway, it is a holiday for 3 days due to the break on Saturday and Friday ... ^^

would it also be a non working day when you guys celebrate Chu Seok there or that doesn't count?
