Jackfruit tree full of fruits
A beautiful and familiar scene of rural Bengal is emerging. In the center of the picture is a huge jackfruit tree, which is covered with numerous large jackfruits. From the base of the tree to the upper branches, plump jackfruits are hanging everywhere. These fruits, which look like crispy dates in the gaps between the green leaves, are like a unique blessing of nature.
Jackfruit is the national fruit of Bangladesh. The harvest of jackfruit in rural villages during the summer and rainy season creates a festive atmosphere. The tree stands next to a brick boundary wall and bamboo fence, which usually indicates the familiar atmosphere of the houses in the villages of our country. The unpaved road behind and the greenery make the calm and gentle aspect of rural life more clear.
Jackfruit is not only delicious to eat, but its nutritional value is also immense. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber. Raw jackfruit is eaten as a curry and ripe jackfruit is eaten as a sweet fruit. Apart from this, jackfruit seeds are also a very tasty food ingredient. This picture reminds us how fertile the soil of Bengal is and how rich the nature here is. For every Bengali, jackfruit trees and such a sight evoke a deep emotion and nostalgia.
