Vlog 281: STEEM to Fiat?? + Dlive transparency report.
STEEM to Fiat: STEEM now listed on LocalBitcoinCash.org.
That is the title of the post by the Steemitblog yesterday here.
I was hoping it would be possible to easily buy STEEM with fiat but that's not the case.
It's a website where you can exchange fiat for Bitcoin Cash (and vice versa) and then change it to STEEM on the site.

Trades can be done via escrow using methods like a bank transfer, or users can meet each other locally, which is common on the platform.
Personally, I would never meet anyone in person to exchange fiat to crypto but I guess if you have no choice it's an option.
I wonder if people will use it.

Dlive released their first transparency report where they talk about the members of the dlive team and their goals here.

They also talk about their self-voting habits.
A hot topic as of late, is the rewarding of our team members. We have read all the feedback in regards to this topic and have made changes to our team's rewards structure. The goal of our management team, is to keep the team rewards to 10% of total rewards through upvotes.
I thought that was interesting because I always wondered how Dlive can afford to exist with no beneficiary rewards.

Here in Brazil, the easiest way we have is to have a wallet that has address bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin, ethereum or dash and transfer the money there using blocktrade. Unfortunately, steem and sbd still do not own many brokerages. It is not so easy for us in Brazil to deal with foreign brokerage, because of bureaucracies and also because of a little fear ...
However, with the growth of this network, I imagine that soon the steem and sbd will have more brokerage houses to negotiate and this also, it must modify the price of them up !!

Steem is showing interest out of the box.
It won't be long to see steem where it should be wider exchange where everyone will see it.

Thank you for the update. I have not used DLive just yet but looking into it for i would like to stream games as well.
I do not think meeting someone at a parking lot to exchange my Fiat for BitCoin Cash is a good idea. There are so many people out there just wanting to take advantage of others. And doing this puts you at high risk of loosing everything. not just Fiat. I guess I watch the I.D channel to much!
I also have noticed that the DTube uploading has gotten a little better, Since I reduced the recording from 1080p to 720p & 480p. The clue on that fix was an observation on the uploading screen for the video hash of 720p. Anyways.. getting much better and a lot less errors. I am feeling pretty happy with how DTube is setup and I have no issues pushing 25% back to the platform.
Dlive is progressing very well... many youtuber's are now looking at dlive & dtube for their alternate earning source, which will ultimately help in the growth of Steem Blockchain... The future looks very bright for Dlive !
It would be great if it's steem to fiat straightforwardly without purchasing other crypto to change over to steem. I trust they do a few updates about that. extremely extraordinary occupation its a fascinating post.

Sorry, not that I know, man. In the Netherlands, I use a company where I can buy BTC instantly with euro. They are called Bitonic. I never looked anywhere else.

No exchanges, KYC, oversight, fees, delays or passwords; just a handshake.
We just need to build it into the culture :)

D-live does a great job. 10% selfvoting is totally acceptable. You are right, they would not survive with curation only. Honestly, it never bothered me not being able to buy Steem with fiat. I actually have never needed it to be invested in Steem by using fiat. I just commute in steemit platform instead and get rewarded.lol Everything gets powered up though!
Yikes, the idea of meeting someone in person for a crypto fiat exchange gives me the heebies!!
I know the video offshoots of steem (dtube, dlive) are fairly popular with users but am I the only one who prefers the blogging platform?
I don't think you are alone, many prefer blogging and steemit. I like everything though and use most of them.
