There is more to creating a great email campaign than one might think. It isn’t simply typing up a message and sending it out. No, you need to consider what goes into the message, it’s purpose, when you are going to send it, et cetera.

Basically, it all boils down to knowing your audience. If you know and understand your audience, you will be much more likely to get through to them. Click here to continue reading

Great tips there, @spencercoffman. Many don't really look at email marketing as important, but once you master it, it's probably the cheapest way to re-engage leads, cross sell to existing clients, or just to move prospects further down the funnel.

I completely agree. One of the reasons people write it off is most likely due to the fact that they don't want to take the time to set it all up. It can be a hassle with the autoresponders, opt-ins, website integration, et cetera. Fortunately, there are many website plugins and software programs that can be used to manage email on your own. I've reviewed a some of them here.

Oh cool! Yeah, I've tried Rapid Mailer before. Easy to integrate into any WP sites.

Yes, Rapidmailer is a pretty good plugin. I've tried all kinds of mailing options. Arp Reach, MailZingo, MailWhiz, MailJeet, so far the best one is Arp Reach.

Arp Reach, yeh! I'm using Mailwizz too. Pretty dynamic and robust.

Ive tried facebook, google+, tumblr, pinterest, reddit, steemit (of course) and twitter to promote stuff. How does an email campaign compare?

It really depends on how you have collected your email addresses. If they are people who want to be emailed by you then the email campaign will have much more success. However, if it is simply a list you have collected through various opt-in forms and other areas then it will be about the same.

Usually, social media promotion is more effective for people because they have the ability to reach more people with social media than on their email list.
