Bittrex works great for me. I used Coinbase(here's a link) to buy BTC with USD, sent it to Bittrex bought steem sent to my steemit acct.

hey thanks for the info @scaredycatguide ...so I can send directly from coinbase to my wallet here...right? I'm Canadian...guess I'll need to get a US Dollar account set up...I'll look into it.
