Money Vs Moments

Whenever I look back at life I remember some of those very good moments and that brings a smile on my face. A holiday or celebrating a special occassion or having outings with friends. These are all special memories of life. When we remember them we do not remember how much money we spent on them but we do remember how much fun we had in those moments. With this I am not saying that we carelessly splurge money on things. At the same time thinking all the time about money and not living life is also worthless.

People tell me that I spend too much money on holidays. Honestly I have no regret for that, because what I gain in the bargain is of much more value. Countless memories I make visiting new places, experiencing new culture, food, seeing world famous places and most important of all the quality time we spend as a family. The bonding that happens on these travels. All of this is of much more worth then the value of money. Budgeting goes without saying. It's not that we do mindless expenses, and at the same time sometimes if we have to go a little extra on our spending to experience something special we do not stop ourselves.

It is possible that sometimes we will also have bad experiences but that also becomes a special memory and we laugh over it in future. Like someone duping you promising something very special and it turns out to be nothing. We barely remember the money part, we always talk about the experiences and that's what makes it special. I give impotance to moments more then money. Some times spending a little extra on a fine dining experience or doing that first class thing which may cost me extra. I like to do it, because money keeps happening all our life but sometimes these moments are once in a life time to experience.
