The Nervous Monster

The Nervous Monster had a spade that they liked to throw. It should have been a surprising suggestion, to my grandpa, but not to the Monster, who thought it would be exciting. Remarkably, a spade being the thing opted for.

The Nervous Monster desperately wanted a crown that they liked to watch for 10 minutes every morning. It should be a fairly curious thought, to me and my wife, but not to the Monster, who had decided that the idea was fun. A crown would be the thing that was chosen.

The Nervous Monster desperately craved for a custard pie that they liked to eat. This is certainly a fairly odd idea, to my children, but not to the Monster, who assumed it would be wonderous. Who would have thought, a custard pie would be the thing that was selected.
