I'm definitely a flatlander and I definitely like seeing them! Mountains and birds! Your photos are always great! Neer does have a scary connotation to the reason behind it. I hope it never gets used
When we lived out there we hoped never to hear the sirens, (tsunami warning type), because they would not blow for no reason, took a bit to get used to the first few times we heard the test blows, but after a bit we caught the cycle of the test shots, at least we were able to hear the horns, and they do have a warning system for that just in case event.
I feel the same way about our tornado sirens. They test them at noon on the first Thursday of the month and I am just glad I can hear them. I hope they help keep us all safe!
