Some movies can be forgotten immediately forget after a few days, but there are others that remain in your heart for a very long time. "Life in a year" is one movie that I still remember till date. My first time seeing this movie, I was thinking it was just the normal romantic movie but later in realized it was beyond that. The movie that left me emotional and sad at the same time. The movie made me reflect on life through it's emotions, sacrifices, and painful reality in the movie.

Write on a movie that has never left your mind because it impacted you.

In the movie we learn about a young boy by name Daryn and a girl called Isabelle. Daryn had a bright future and was from a rich home and had his every part of his life planned by his father. Everything turned around when Daryne fell in love with Isabelle.
The whole love thing became so real when he discovered that the girl he was in love with had cancer and she had few just few months to live.
This didn't make Daryn to give up on Isabelle Instead he spent more time with her, creating memories and making every little time worth it. All he wanted was for Isabelle to experience happiness within that short period she had to live.

What made this movie stay in my mind till date was that this movie felt so realistic and emotional. Indeed we can't really predict the outcome of life. Planning for tomorrow isn't a bad idea but why don't we appreciate today and let tomorrow think of itself. There's a saying that goes like this "no one knows what tomorrow will bring". This movie made me to understand the value of time. We all found ourselves in this world no body knows the day he or she is going to leave this world or the means, this is why you must make everyday count. The emotional connection that existed between Daryn & Isabelle, was one thing I love, making you relate to some scenes in reality.

Which scene still stays in your mind? Why?

The scene that still stays in my mind and surprises me because not everyone would still stick around when things turns out like this, was when Daryn decided to go on that road trip with Isabelle, even knowing that she would still die. He made sure they shared happy moments together, laughing, arguing even while carrying that pain inside. That scene touched me emotionally and at the same time made me sad knowing what the end would look like. The whole emotional scene really portrays love and sacrifice.

Another scene I won't forget easily even regardless Isabelle had few weeks to live. Daryn still got married to her just to fulfill her dreams. Like how many people will do this if we bring it to reality, I mean the percentage will be so low. That wedding scene and the night Isabelle gave up was scenes I can't forget easily each time this movie comes to mind. The directors of the movie really presented that emotional and painful part well, leaving the viewers in thoughts. I could relate to the movie when I lost someone so important to me, it was not easy though but the hurt is still there. Love sometimes is not all about how long, what matters is those special moments shared together.

What message did you carry forward?

The big message here is, whatever you do don't take life for granted. Let's make it a culture to always appreciate those around us. Make out time and visit your loved ones, spend time, create memories, show them love and care. Have in mind, there's no such thing as the perfect time, you only have to create it and make it perfect. Tomorrow might be too late.

Another message the movie has is about sacrifices. We live in a world where sacrifices are undervalued. Nobody really cares, after all, Isabelle was going to die but that didn't make them to leave her to her fate. Rather, they walked with her till her final breath. Daryn sacrificed his comfort, plans, and emotions just to make Isabelle happy. We should always learn to show up for those we care about during time of difficulties, this will give them the strength to carry on.

After watching this movie, I also learnt value time and now I piriotize spending time with those I care about.

As a youth in today's world, where everything is monitized, all we care about is what we can do for the money. This movie will make you understand that money is not everything we need in life, there are times when we would need human connection, love, and meaningful experiences as well.

Again, the movie did so great in the acting, emotional connection between the actors, the soundtrack used, even after seeing the movie, would still be playing in your head for days. It's a movie with lessons, go and rewatch it today.
