Albertina Museum
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Albertina Museum in Vienna and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The gallery was presenting a special exhibition dedicated to the American artist, director, photographer and musician Robert Longo, which left me fascinated and inspired by the wide range of his work. Robert Longo rose to prominence in the 1980s with his series of drawings and sculptures called Men in the City. These works capture people in moments of intense emotional pain, often depicting them writhing in twisted emotions. The use of charcoal and graphite on paper lends a raw yet impactful beauty to these pieces, making the viewer think deeply about human experiences.
