Months ago an users shared an alternative to upload inages. I'll sorry I don't remember the name of the user 🫣, but I copied qnd saved this:
"Go to Postimages.org.
Upload your image.
Copy the Direct Link or the Hotlink for forums option.
Paste it directly into your Steemit post using Markdown:
And that’s it – your image will now display correctly in your post!"
