The Orange Van and Autumn Whispers

Often you go down a familiar street and you notice something that puts a smile on your face. Exactly this happened with me when taking these pictures. It was a pleasant autumn day, and it was slightly cold but very fresh outside. The trees were covered with yellow and orange leaves and created a lovely roof above the long path. People were strolling leisurely under the blue sky.

But the most remarkable thing in these photographs is an orange vintage van, which was parked right on the side of the road. It seemed to be a kind of time machine from those times. In our hectic lives when everyone runs after some deadlines or constantly looks into his or her smartphone, such a van appears to be so calm and cool. This van reminds me of a road trip somewhere in the unknown place without any map, just with some music.

It was important for me to take these two pictures because the difference in style would create another impression. In the first picture, everything is colored. Warm yellow leaves, as well as an orange color of a van match the surrounding autumn trees perfectly. It is very cozy and gives the impression of a hot cup of tea in a cold autumn day. In that picture, you can feel the life of the street.

The second picture is a bit of an experiment. Here, I decided to make everything around black-and-white except for an orange van, which is very eye-catching. There is a tiny sign on the van that says "LOVE YOURSELF". Against the background of a quiet grey world, this sign becomes even more expressive. It felt as if the Universe gave me a little push to love myself.

These pictures always make me feel happy whenever I come across them because they teach us that beauty lies all around us if we open our eyes to see it and change our paths once in a while.
