Sun, Sea and The Cross of Caiguire
Sun, Sea and The Cross of Caiguire. As mentioned in previous days, regarding the places we can find along our Cumana Coastal Strip or Cacique Maraguey, today we find ourselves once again by the sea to enjoy another spectacle that fills our regional sky and sunlight. We’re talking about La Cruz de Caiguire—a small, plaza-like area where many people gather to participate in sports, recreational, cultural, and religious activities.
It’s common to see many locals and tourists visiting this plaza, especially during Carnival and Holy Week. It’s a rewarding experience to witness the blessing of the sea from this spot on Easter Sundays. Similarly, when the Cruz de Mayo is celebrated, it’s a great opportunity to visit the Cruz de Caigüire to enjoy these cultural events.
However, it’s also extremely common to see many people early in the morning walking, jogging, and doing all kinds of exercises, both inside and outside the plaza. How could you not? The entire landscape invites us to enjoy unique moments that fill us with energy and free us from everyday stress. That’s why I invite you to feel part of this journey and let yourself be swept away by such beautiful views.
