Why does a butterfly sit on poop or other dirty things?

Once while roaming around, I found a butterfly sitting on animal poop. I wondered why such beautiful creatures sit on dirty things, like poop. When I searched on Google, I found that they absorb minerals like nitrogen and sodium from them!
