ATTENTION NEWBIES: Send A Link To Me And I'll Resteem It Or Help Make It Better (or refer a link if you're not a newbie but want to help)
Today is the first day of #newbieresteemday and I am supporting the effort with my 2500 followers. The rules are simple.
Newbies (40 or less reputation score)
If you are a newbie (under 40 on your reputation), you just copy a post you want resteemed and I will either resteem it or I will comment on it and give you suggestions to make it better.
Regulars (40 or more reputation score)
If you are not a newbie (over 40 reputation) but want to help you can do up to 5 things:
First, you can recommend a link of a newbie that you want to help by submitting it in the comment section here.
Second, you can resteem any of the links on my page by using YOUR resteems too (Note: make sure to leave a comment so they know they have support from you.)
Third, spread the word by resteeming "this post" so that the word spreads quickly and we start the ball rolling.
Fourth, upvote this post as all the SBD earned from the post will be used to "upvote" future newbies thru upvote services like @bumper, @earthnation-bot and @lila-wish-genie.
Fifth, declare today as your own #newbieresteemday and post your own message (you can copy mine if you like). Just make sure to tag it with #newbieresteemday so that we can all find it easily.
If you are a newbie, then get me a link you want resteemed.
If you are a regular steemer, please do 1 to 5 of these things. Lets spread the word and get this thing moving!

sure... you can still get people to pay attention by posting in the newbieresteem channel... they have a special section there... plus if you use the newbieresteemday tag then people still follow that tag and look for good posts...
I will be happy to look at your post right now and also there is another great guy that will review your post every week and that is @bashadow... He has done it each and every week since this initiative started...
And one last thing, I love @newbieresteemday... I have just stepped back from management to let others work and make it even better... I still fully support them and will do what I can to make them awesome!
ps... you can also submit your posts to @amariespeaks as she puts out a top posts of the week for her Minnow Mondays. :)
Heading over to take a look, @newbieresteemday is still very active. And our goal has always been to help people get used to steemit, and when able give them a leg up.
If you had posted this a week sooner I would have still been eligible! lol
Since I am not though, I have made a few connections/friends in my short time here and some are still eligible and deserving of some help.

Thanks! I appreciate you getting them some more exposure. I had one more really good one but like me she just missed the cutoff of 40. Just in case I am dropping two of her links here. One includes a good personal story that people have and will identify with, and the second is an original short story, loved it. Like I said though, she joined even after I did and just hit 45 through engaging with people in comments and writing some good posts.

you should definitely contact @mudcat36 and become a founding member... And this is the first day so the rules are set in the beginning but I'm sure mudcat36 will take suggestions as to rule changes. We can all help in various ways and this is a long term project and we need all the good people we can get.

Awesome Christian! I welcome you with open arms!!! ... I love the pinoy community and would love to see lots of participation from such a wonderful group of steemers... You might want to reach out and make contact with @beeyou @wanderlass @qyugmo off the top of my head, and coordinate a great effort into both having hosts and founding members like yourself as well as spreading the word to newbies so they can get the benefits... @mudcat36 is the point man, but we all are here to work together as a team... I am so happy to have you on the team and let me know if I can help.
ps... anyone else you can recruit and train to do this is awesome as it leverages and maximize our time... People like @surpassinggoogle are aware and supportive, but we need to take some of the work off his plate and train others to take charge and keep the ball rolling forward.
pps... I'm way behind in getting to all my replies today, but if you check this post of mine you will see many filipinos that are eager to help. And this is one such way. I'm telling you in the event you want to reach out and make new contacts and organize with each other.

No. And I'm not flooding my streem with newbie posts. I upvoted a few. I'll resteem posts when I really like them, especially if they fit with the theme of my channel.

That is ok @geekpowered I thank you for what you did. It is a lot and I notice it. Not everyone has to help in the same way, and I recognize that different people help in the way that best suits them. So no worries about flooding your feed, I completely understand. You're upvote was more than generous and I think you contributed more than half of the upvote all by yourself.
The fact that you took the time to comment and let me know you are in favor of the message (even if you don't agree with the different methods), is awesome. I wish more of the bigger fish out there would pay attention like you did... You were very helpful in several ways, and for that I am thankful and respectful.

I'm totally in favor of what you're doing, but we all steem in our own ways, just as we all live life in our own ways.
I follow @welcoming, and a ton of curation accounts, and try to look our for good people to upvote, and try to search for them when I can, which honestly, isn't nearly enough.
This community is built on the assumption that everyone will willingly make a conscious effort. Some of them do. That is good. Not all of them, but we can't expect 100%. People just need to keep making an effort, and keep trying, despite others seemingly not doing so.
I'm 100% in agreement with you @geekpowered... I have taken your feedback and thought through the other issues and we have put in place a structure that has many different things people can do to support the mission. We all want to help newbies so we broadened the ways in which this can be done. Also I agree with you that everyone has different was to express themselves and their beliefs and I certain wouldn't want anyone to feel compelled to go against their own ethics...
We are setting up things just like what you mentioned (like curation) and we plan on reaching out the other others that do so and leverage off of their skills... So hang in there and be patient with us, we are only 2 days old and already we have attracted some seriously good people to the cause. I'd like you to "want" to participate so when you see more of the way we are integrating, please let me know if any of them suit your style! I think you might be surprised :)

When is the best time to upvote dave?
alway wait 30 minutes to get the full value for you of your upvotes. On the other hand if you want author of the post to get the value from your upvote, then as fast as possible. Anything between 30 min and 6 days is the same in terms of full value to you.

Also learn how to use @originalworks and @resteemable... I did it on the post I resteemed and you need to learn how they work so you can use the tools properly too.

(you don't need to upvote, I'm just telling you to learn so that you can pass it on)... and one day very very soon, I invite you to go over to @mudcat36 and ask him to be a "founding member" of this initiative. I hope you do, you will see it will help you when you help others.;)

I can see you are trying and I suggest you keep learning... I did resteem you even though you are over the limit (46) and aren't really a newbie anymore... But I did see this comment and I can understand your pain...
Now though it is time that you get over the past and you focus on the future. You can't rely on people feeling sorry for you, but instead you need to learn how to make it on your own. I can help you, but you need to ask... And the first thing I will tell you is to never ask for help, votes, or follows again. People will do those things because they like you and you also try to help them too. There is no need to ever ask.
