Trump trolls media about keeping UFC setup on White House lawn and media takes the bait
I obviously don't know if Trump was joking about this or not but based on his past babbling on social media I can't help but feel as though he is trolling. When he recently made a social media post honoring Harambe the gorilla, the media predictably reacted with their usual ire towards anything he says.
I feel as though he does it just to give the MSM that he dubs "fake news" more silly things to report on.
While I don't really look at what he says I did stumble upon a statement about how he "really likes the UFC setup" on the yard at the White House for an upcoming fighting something or other that I will not watch and how he is toying with the idea of keeping it there permanently.

There was a quip about it being just as good looking at the Eiffel Tower and had this to say comparing the two.
“Well, they never took it down, and you know, we’re building something in front of the White House that’s quite attractive to a lot of people,”
I don't care about this event, I don't think that this structure is at all beautiful and it certainly stands out in a bad way when compared to the rest of the architecture in D.C.
What I do like is how the media is so predictable and how they run and go crazy with their "reporting" about how this is just an awful thing to say and how he "doesn't have the authority" blah blah blah.
People are talking about how he has made the White House so tacky and how they are outraged that he would ruin the landscape in DC and so on and so fort. The people have become so easily manipulated and the media is either helping to make this happen, or they are just as easily manipulated as well.
This off the cuff statement by the President is not newsworthy but yet there are dozens of articles written about his couple of sentences and very predictable reactions on Twitter from people depending on what their very well-known political affiliation is. Trump haters hate the structure and probably hate UFC now, and Trump lovers agree with him. All the while I can't help but feel like he is grinning inside as he says these things and does so knowing that the media is going to run wild with it.

Headlines become hilarious as liberal outlets blow it up in one direction and conservative outlets are all of a sudden massive UFC fans and love steel archways or whatever.
Honestly, if something like this makes you genuinely outraged you might want to speak to a doctor about some sort of medication or take up yoga and meditation because you need your priorities in life re-aligned.
The news is no longer informative anywhere in the world that I can tell. All that we have now are echo chambers and when I speak to someone I can usually already tell with some level of accuracy what sort of things they regularly look at online based solely on how they talk. People are programmed by their online choices and especially if they subscribe to a particular "news" source. Someone that regularly reads or watches CNN talks like a CNN NPC and someone that regularly reads or watched FOX talks like a conservative parrot as well.
Is it really too much to ask for people to think for themselves? I think we are reaching the point where very few people actually do.
