I totally agree with you. I stopped watching and listening to news just because of that. Everyday media is just filled with violence, politics, wars, natural disasters, sick people, poverty... I'm not some cold-hearted human being, quite the opposite. But it's really stupid to think that everything is so bad. I know people are corrupt, some politicians are just for the number, that violence is going up and the difference in wealth between regular workers and office people is getting biger, etc.. But, what can I do about it? Nothing. I know I could always give away all my belongings to someone who has less. And I could be unhappy because of things happening around. But yet again. Who would benefit from that. Insteed being sane human being trying to do my best with my own life and for my family I could just easily focus on life of others, sacrifising everything. I'm not selfish, I help others in any way that I can, but on my own terms and without negative perspective from media.
@rok-sivante - We always tend to focus on the imperfections in an otherwise normal scenario. Perhaps it is the evolution of human mind over centuries to spot the negatives (to combat potential danger) that does this. However - you are right. We need to overcome the instinct to focus on negative and look at the overall positives that have been achieved. Rome was not built in one day.
Cheers. Thanks for sharing your valuable views. Upvoted full.
Yes, media exerts influence. Though it’s the litmus test of intelligence to take everything that comes through media at face value or think for ourselves and choose our own focus.
yeah agree.. but what im trying to say is.. what if the media only presents negative.. in that case all u have in front of you is the negative... how do you filter that..???
What a beautiful post!!! It is so refreshing to hear good news!!! We as humanity should be proud of our accomplishments and give ourselves credit for the good that has been done. These statistics prove that mankind is evolving consciously towards love and abundance and that humans are essentially progressing toward the higher good of all mankind.
@rok-sivante very well said "Amazing World" reason in this world so many different generations lives with their lifestyle and i love your post good luck for feature post
Thank you for sharing this important information, interesting take on the way the world currently is, or perceived to be in contrast to where we once were.
I recall it spelled out wonderfully by Matt Kahn in one of his videos once - whereas many are super fearful that the world is falling to shit, what does he see when he looks out the window... famines smiling, birds, trees.
Or like, I came across some posts about how horrible Canada is turning out as some corrupt apocalyptic police state, blah blah blah... yet, I absolutely LOVE Vancouver, drive around every day inspired by the beauty, the warmth of the people, and even view the police and government in a whole new positive light after having gone and experienced the third world.
Our focus really does determine our experience of reality. There are always both the good and bad. Choosing which to filter makes quite the difference in our relationship with the world...

Media is biased. Thanks for posting.
yeah its because of the media and their paid negative news that we focus only on the negatives! Absolutely correct!
I must disagree on this, because we have choice.

Your welcome. 🙏
If we left it to the news media to define our view of the world, we would all be afraid to step outside!
I don't watch much news... And my neighbors are of every race and religion, and I don't see the hate in my city that is portrayed on the news.
Great post!!
Amen.
