Gravitational wave detector To be built
- A new LIGO gravitational wave detector will be built in India by 2025 in collaboration with universities from across the world.
- LIGO stands for laser interferometer gravitational-wave observatory.
- It will help the pinpoint the origin of gravitational waves that are detected in future.
- It will be the world's third LIGO detector, along with two already operational in the US.
