Operations Officer's Log Stardate 97186.51 - Starbase Genesis1

The Bunkers and Shield Generators are moving along smoothly. As we reach higher Phases, the time and resources required to further enhance these buildings increases. If only I could figure out a way to get that point effectively across to Captain Davis! Every single day he stops by to repeat the same old cadence, "Are they fully developed yet, Officer?" I'm a man of great patience, but damn does the Captain test my limits! Today I told him a story from my youth. When I was a child, my mother would cook spaghetti often, and I would sit and watch the water through the glass lid as it heated up. I was curious to see how long it would take, as well as fascinated with the process of watching water go from cold to boiling. My mother, thinking I was being impatience, would always say, "It doesn't boil faster by staring at the water, son!" The Captain sort of laughed it off, but he knew that I was referring to his incessant need to break my balls every day wondering if the water is boiling yet! I swear that if he comes back again tomorrow, I'll repeat the story ad infinitum until he really gets the point!

I'm not really bothered with all this talk about attacks and new technologies. I Phase Up and that's it; that's my assignment as Chief Operations Officer. So as it stands, our Bunker is at Phase 13, and with the Bunker Protection Booster at Phase 8, we're seeing more and more of our resources safeguarded. My colleagues over at Genesis2 have also reached Phase 13, which is incredible considering that the colony was just founded.

Our Shield Generator has reached Phase 17, which enables us to have a great range of protection, allowing us to accumulate the resources necessary to reach the next Phase Up point. At present, the shields are holding 40.8 Estimated Earth Hours when fully charged. This is also the case over at Starbase Genesis2. Our task force, ordered by Captain Dixon, is slowly formulating the next step in our assignment to find more avenues for further protection of our minerals once the Top Priority Order to get the Bunkers and Shield Generators to their fullest capacity has been achieved.
