RE: Free to fail: Upside and Consequences
i think for us, the occidental people, when we speak about freedom is like speaking about air - is a fact, we have it and we don't need to struggle in order to obtain it. freedom of speech, freedom of mevement, freedom of action i mean. with their obvious constrains. we have so much freedom nowadays throughout the technology as well, that we tent to forget it and not appreciate it anymore. and when we see the bigger picture, as examples in north korea or burma or so on, we can not even imagine what is happening over there. freedom is a fact for us and we take it for granted that we don't even take responsibilities anymore, we don't have this impulse to protect the others and the insure freedom in other places as well. or maybe yes.
i remember my favorite book in university was by far on liberty by john stuart mill and i was passionate about the subject. nowadays, i just get to tend getting less involved in liberty and more on social issues.
thank you for the open minded post, is good for our brains to read such things on steemit :)
