Roasted pears and apples make an amazing and heartwarming winter dessert. When I was little I used to eat a lot of steamed apples, they were one of my favorite things, however I haven't had any in a very-very-very long time, until today.

The other day while shopping at an Asian Mart I spotted those huge Korean pears and couldn't resist buying some. At the time I didn't know what I would use it for, but I am glad I didn't just eat it since this is what happens to most of fruits and veggies I buy.
Luckily, I had some ricotta cheese in the fridge so that this amazing idea came to mind to combine the two!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Korean pear (cores removed, cut into wedges);
  • maple syrup or honey;
  • roasted walnuts;
  • ricotta cheese.

Directions:

Wash, deseed and cut the pear into 4 wedges and bake it for approximately 30 minutes at 350 F.
Fill the plate with a couple scoops or ricotta cheese and pear wedges, sprinkle roasted walnuts or any other kind of nuts on top. Finish it off with honey or maple syrup drizzles.

Have you tried banana 🍌 peel tea? Updated on it's uses 👌

No, unfortunately I haven't. Don't have any banana peels on hand at the moment.

I may try to do this someday in the winter when I am cold in Chile! Great work as usual, it's been a long time!

It probably doesn't even get cold where you are! Thanks!

Awesome photography skills and dessert as always!
