It's been slowly but surely getting worse. I have no idea who's paying for nonstop heavy equipment or how they plan to save these homes. What they have been doing is barely keeping the ocean at bay.
Hi Ross, how are you? Nice to see your photos again after some break. By the way, the images are weird, how it is possible that such heavy machines are driving on sand beach. Are they gaining the sand beach and restroring or is there any other plan for the work?
Hello! Thank you. You remember me? :) Yes the big trucks and bulldozers drive on the sand. They are putting more sand here to try and stop the Pacific Ocean from flooding the homes here. The sand disappears from the beach the surf takes it away. It's a big problem all over California and has been going on for years. Rock jetties and breakwaters disturbed the normal movement. This area is a very flat sandbar barely above sea level. Building homes on it was never a smart idea. People did it anyway.
