Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island built off the coast of Dubai and is the first of a series of new reclamations of land that extended the coast of Dubai to more than double its original length.

In addition to Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali on the southern side of Dubai was built and was kept idle after the 2008 financial crash until recently when construction resumed and big time, similarly, the Deira Islands on the northern side of Dubai, and many other islands like the Pearl Island, Seahorse, Emaar Beachfront, Marina Harbour, and the islands built on the Dubai Creek inside Dubai and the water canal.

Definitely not for those seeking affordable housing.
