I spend a couple of years at Mactan island. I never had problems.
Oh, Cebu! Better island to live, isn't it? Close to beaches and many attractions around.
First time I stay at Mandaue, but to the left people from japan, to the right amercans, australien, etc. And all the time problems with water, etc.
Than I found a house at Mactan (Gun-Ob), perfect place. Filipino families to the right, to the left ...
Manila, sure I was several times there (embassy, etc.), but I try all time to leave as soon as possible ;)
