The Mermaid

What a sublime creature,
A true artwork of nature.
She lives in the shining palace in the deep blue sea.
The mermaid swam around on stormy days.

Developed from the connection
of the water god Neptune
and a river nymph.
Her beauty blinds even the sun,
She is a natural triumph.

Then came the day of boredom,
She swam with the white dolphins calmly, without haste.
Jumped over the roaring waves.
Appeared like a ray of light,
Everything shined so bright.

After a perfect day, she was very tired,
It was time to rest and sleep.
She swam back to the palace,
Lay down in her starfish bed,
She could take a nap really deep.

That's how a mermaid fell asleep,
Dreaming of her city, of diamonds so pure.

Dreamt of the legendary Atlantis,
People have forgotten these,
Don't know where it is.

With beings of incredible form,
Some were thousands of years old.
In the azure blue water it was neither warm nor cold.

A high culture,
Which lies under water in the deep blue.
They gave once a holy oath,
But because of their ego they were defeated and gone.

The exuberance rarely does anyone good,
So the mermaid woke up,
frightened,
Really quickly she swam up to the surface of the sea.

There she was caught,
She had to fear for her life.
What grandiose myths still fought for her and her paradise.
What else will come to light?

Text was written by myself in inspiration to the Azores, because some islanders call them Atlantis.

A Sereia

Que criatura sublime,
Uma verdadeira obra de arte da natureza.
Ela vive no palácio brilhante no mar.
A sereia nadou em dias tempestuosos.

Desenvolvido a partir da ligação
do deus da água Netuno
e uma ninfa do rio.
Sua beleza cega até mesmo o sol, não tinha grandes desejos.

Então veio o dia do tédio,
Nadou com os golfinhos brancos calmamente, sem pressa.
Saltou sobre as ondas ruidosas.
Parecia um raio de luz,
Tudo brilhava tão brilhante.

Depois de um dia perfeito, ela estava muito cansada,
Era hora de descansar e dormir.
Ela nadou de volta ao palácio,
Deita-te na cama de estrelas-do-mar,
Ela podia dormir uma sesta bem fundo.

Foi assim que uma sereia adormeceu,
Sonhando com a sua cidade, com diamantes tão puros.

Sonho da lendária Atlântida,
As pessoas esqueceram-se disto,
Não sei onde está.

Com seres de forma incrível,
Alguns tinham milhares de anos.
Na água azul azulada não era nem quente nem fria.

Uma cultura alta,
Que está debaixo de água no azul profundo.
Uma vez fizeram um juramento sagrado,
Mas por causa do seu ego, foram derrotados e desapareceram.

A exuberância raramente faz bem a alguém,
Então a sereia acordou,
assustado,
Muito rapidamente ela nadou até à superfície do mar.

Lá ela foi pega,
Ela teve de temer pela sua vida.
Que mitos grandiosos ainda lutavam por ela e pelo seu paraíso.
O que mais virá à luz?

O texto foi escrito por mim em inspiração para os Açores, porque alguns ilhéus chamam-lhes Atlântida.

Die Meerjungfrau

Welch erhabene Kreatur,
Ein wahres Kunstwerk der Natur.
Sie wohnt im strahlenden Palast im Meer.
Die Meerjungfrau schwamm an stürmischen Tagen umher.

Entstanden aus der Verbindung
des Wassergottes Neptun
und einer Flussnymphe.
Ihre Schönheit blendet selbst die Sonne, hatte keine großen Wünsche.

Da kam der Tag der Langeweile,
Sie schwamm mit den weißen Delfinen gelassen, ohne Eile.
Sprang hinaus über die tosenden Wellen.
Erschien wie ein Lichtstrahl,
Schien alles zu erhellen.

Nach vollendeten Tag, war sie sehr müde,
Es war an der Zeit, sich auszuruhen.
Zurück schwamm sie zu dem Palast,
Legte sich in ihr Seestern Bett,
Gönnte sich Rast.

So schlief die eine Meerjungfrau ein,
Träumte von ihrer Stadt, aus Diamanten so rein.

Träumte vom sagenhaften Atlantis,
Menschen haben diese vergessen,
Wissen nicht wo diese ist.

Mit Wesen von unglaublicher Gestalt,
Manche waren tausende von Jahren alt.
Im azurblauen Wasser war es weder warm, noch kalt.

Eine Hochkultur,
Welche unter Wasser liegt.
Gab einst einen heiligen Schwur,
Wurde dennoch besiegt.

Der Übermut tut halt selten gut,
So wachte die Meerjungfrau erschrocken auf,
Eilte und schwamm schnell zur Wasseroberfläche hinauf.

Dort wurde sie dann eingefangen,
Musste um ihr Leben bangen.
Welch grandiose Mythen sich wohl noch um sie und ihr Paradies rangen.
Was wird noch ans Tageslicht gelangen?

Text wurde von mir in Inspiration an die Azoren verfasst, da manche Inselbewohner diese als Atlantis bezeichnen.
