What's Left Behind (A Poem)

What he had left behind
Weight heavy on his mind
What he deign unnecessary
Put his heart in misery...

Those decisions of the past
Left him with scars that last
Lost time he cannot return
A past he can never unturn

Now he can only live in regrets
Hoping that this new life begets
To be given the chance again
And, escape the unending pain
