It's shocking to me that we still blame the victim. I've never understood that. People who haven't experienced abuse or predatory behavior very often just cannot imagine why a person who has been through an attack or abuse trauma won't report it, or don't report it right away. But then (as we see in the news), either nothing comes of reporting it, or the person who reports it has no credibility... or is even belittled. It blows my mind.
