Oh yeah, the best way to deal with these kinda people is through firstly love and understanding! I always let them know that thats not how it works on here, no upvotes for upvotes. If they make valuable and insightful comments and post quality content then Id love to follow them!
The same goes with plagerizers. I think everyone deserves a fair warning before a flag. Some people just dont gt it yet, and I was in a similar place once too (though I have always loved to cite my sources!). I let them know they need to cite the sources and add original value to every post, plagerizing and begging wont get anyone far on here or really, in the real world!
Agreed @skycae. Gratefully we are the power and can decide what kind of a platform we wish to have, and are building it with every post, comment, upvote and follow. Just as with the other things in the world we don't agree with -- if we stop supporting them, they will cease to exist.
