This analysis is exceptional. Moving away from "waste management" and towards "resource recovery" is of utmost importance for sustainability in the long run. By managing selective sorbents and electrochemical methods in an efficient manner, we can achieve lower environmental impact of water treatment and enhance security of strategic minerals as we will be less dependent on conventional methods of extractive mining.
