And I've got 32 years myself. I don't call myself anything even though my students do.

Nothing wrong with that. There are many martial art greats who refuse titles. I have an old friend has been 2nd Dan for 40 years. To each his own. But I honest try to never judge anyone. It is just not my place as I do not live their lives.
