Mr. Pickles (series) an irreverent cartoon that will appeal to only certain people
I really enjoyed Rick and Morty and for the most part still do. Almost all the other animated series bore me these days including Family Guy, Simpsons, and SouthPark. I can't believe that those are all still on the air to be frank.
I was told about Mr. Pickles by a friend and they said it almost like they were telling me about a dirty secret. After one episode I could understand why because this show is definitely not something you would want a child to be watching. It is an Adult Swim feature and that is definitely where it belongs.

The plot doesn't need any sort of real lead-in or backstory. There is just a family named the Goodmans and they are quite dysfunctional. Their son Tommy is socially awkward and spends a lot of time with their dog who is named Mr. Pickles.
Mr. Pickles seems to be your normal household puppy dog but he is secretly very intelligent and engages in Satanic practices. Grandpa Goodman is aware of Mr. Pickles secret and he is constantly telling everyone that Mr. Pickles is not a good boy and has people and other animals held captive in his Satanic underground lair under his doghouse. Of course nobody believe crazy old grandpa.

I enjoy this show because it is completely batshit crazy and there is no real story here, certainly not one that runs across entire seasons.
While Mr. Pickles is without question very evil, he genuinely cares for Tommy and will do anything to help him as well as keep his Satanic secrets away from the boy who is constantly getting into trouble. He is ripe for bullying but it never happens for very long because Mr. Pickles will bring about a horrible fate to anyone that attempts to harm his best friend Tommy.

let's just say that things do not end well for these two.
The show has a lot of rather famous people in the cast including people that you might not suspect would even be interested in this thing such as Brooke Shields. She is part of the main cast. There are a ton of cameo roles and recurring parts that celebrities seem to be lining up to be a part of including Iggy Pop, Andy Richter, Henry Rollins, Steve-O, and Weird Al Yankovich. It's pretty fun when you hear a voice in the cast and think "hey, I know this person for some reason!"

Mr. Pickles is disgusting, more so than almost any other animated anything I have ever seen. This is done on purpose (obviously) as well. It is kind of their thing.
To me it is just as long as it needs to be as each of the episodes are under 15 minutes or so. The story is basically irrelevant and it is just a series of really silly, gross, and inappropriate things that happen over and over again.
Should I watch it?
That trailer doesn't really tell you a lot about the show itself and that is probably because most of what they might show you would be censored anyway. It is a very hardcore show and therefore I don't think it is going to appeal to a very widespread audience. It's gonna take an appreciation for the macabre as well as a level of immaturity that only certain potential audience members might contain. I think that if you liked Rick and Morty you might enjoy this. That being said, I don't think this has the opportunity to achieve widespread appeal and I think most people would watch a single episode and just walk away from it, if they even make it that far.
The show unceremoniously ended in 2019 despite having enough popularity to continue. Pity
I love it, but the idea here isn't to just cover my own biases. I am realistic and know that at least half of the people are going to not get it, or be turned off by it.
This can be legally streamed on YouTubeTV (overpriced), Adult Swim (included in membership or free with ads). It can be purchased at a wide array of locations for something like $10 per season
