SLC31-W3: Shop & Share Challenge - Street Market Purchase

This marks our third season 31 challenge which I warmly welcome you to week 3 of the Shop & Share Challenge!

As usual, you don't have to spend much money trying to do this challenge. This third week's challenge is to encourage participants to patronise local trade which is the street market. You have to be realistic to promote your real-life activity with a street trader as the purpose of this week 3 challenge is all about experiencing the real hustle, bargaining, and freshness that markets are best known for.

Without further ado, for this week: explore a street market or open market in your area. A street or open market is so common and easy to see, because it is a place where traders sell goods in open spaces like roadside stalls, streets, or large market areas rather than in enclosed shops.

In such a market, you can easily find; fresh food like fruits, vegetables etc and also local items such as household goods, spices, and clothes. In a street market buyers get to price items directly with sellers which leads to bargaining over price. So now that you have gotten to know what a street market is visit a street or open market and share your real-life activity with the street or open market with us.

What To Do:

All you have to do as a participant is to explore a street or open market in your area and highlight your everyday shopping experiences while comparing prices, product quality, and the environment. You are expected to;

✓ Visit a Street or an Open Market

✓ Buy at least one item such as; fruits vegetables, or local goods from the Street or open market

✓ Share clear photos of the street or open market, and the seller's stall

✓ Show the item that you purchased and the receipt if given to you

✓ Provide details that you know about the street or open market like: (Address, Google map link, Google Plus code, and Steematlas link),

✓ The price of the item you purchased from the street or the open market

✓ Describe your shopping experience, including pricing, bargaining, and product quality

✓ In some places street or open markets usually cause traffic describe how busy the street or open market is

✓ What is your advice to the street or open market sellers to improve business performance?
