From Courtrooms to Classrooms: PTTI’s Collaboration with the Juvenile Justice Department to Empower Youth Through Skilled Trades

PTTI's collaboration with the Juvenile Justice Department is helping justice-involved youth build brighter futures through skilled trades education, hands-on training, and career development opportunities. Instead of allowing past mistakes to define their future, this partnership provides young people with practical vocational skills, structured learning environments, and mentorship that prepare them for meaningful employment. Students receive hands-on training in high-demand skilled trades such as welding, electrical technology, pipefitting, construction, automotive repair, and sterile processing while developing workplace discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence. The program emphasizes career readiness by combining technical education with real-world experience and guidance from experienced instructors. Research consistently shows that vocational education and workforce development programs can improve employment outcomes and support successful reintegration for justice-involved youth.
