SLC-S32/W5 | Frames of My World : Flavors of My World

Hello friends, I hope you are all well. For the fifth week of the Steemit Challenge contest, I will be sharing visit to a Tea Stall. I would like to thank the organizers of this challenge, and without further delay, I am starting my participation.

Where is this food location situated?

This is a roadside tea stall named "Cha Khor" (Tea Lover), a name that I found quite fancy. It is located at Kajir Dewry Circle in Chattogram, right opposite the Apollo Shopping Center, on the south side of the road. The owner of this tea stall is a young entrepreneur who runs his business in a unique way.

What food or drink is this place known for?

This place is primarily known for its tea. Although tea is the main item here, they offer quite a few variants. While regular powdered milk tea and black tea have the highest number of customers, the menu also includes Malai tea, Masala tea, and several other variants of herbal tea.

Along with the name of the tea stall, I also found the special spices used in his tea to be quite unique. The tea I ordered from him included orange juice, which is very rarely seen. Usually, people only add lemon to black tea, but because of the mix of various ingredients in his special tea, it tasted truly unique.

Why is this location popular among local people or visitors?

This stall is popular among locals solely because of the special taste of its tea. I noticed myself that he prepares the herbal tea very carefully and maintains complete hygiene, which I tried to capture as a real moment in my video. Moreover, adding special spices, orange juice, and mint leaves to the tea makes it truly special.

Another reason why the tea feels so special to customers here is the behavior of this young stall owner. Looking at him, he seemed well-educated, and he has mastered how to speak to customers with great manners. That is why a high number of repeat customers, especially corporate professionals, can be seen at his stall.

What was your personal experience during the visit?

I visited during the evening, and the stall owner greeted me warmly before taking my tea order. He asked me in advance whether he should add spices, as many people prefer drinking tea normally. However, for a herbal tea, I prefer adding spices, and I watched his preparation process.

The young guy's tea-making style was beautiful, and he readied everything while maintaining strict hygiene. I asked him to add a little extra lemon to my tea, and he did so. I really liked the taste of the tea, and a beautiful aroma was coming from it, which enhanced the flavor even more. In one word, it was an extraordinary experience.

How does this place reflect the food culture of your area?

This place highlights a local tea stall from my area. There are hundreds of such tea stalls around me, which are called "Tong er Dokan" in Bengali. Although this stall reflects those traditional shops, this entrepreneur has kept a few things in mind, such as maintaining complete hygiene at the stall, which we usually do not see in typical "Tong" shops.

Actually, not much attention is paid to the decoration of these stalls because expensive food is not sold here, and the price of tea is normally within the range of 15–20 Taka. Therefore, a luxury decoration is not feasible for such a low-priced item. However, the main selling point of such stalls is the taste of the food, which I found in the tea of this stall. There are absolutely no complaints regarding its hygiene and behavior.
