How do I start offering nutritional coaching as a personal trainer?

in #sport9 days ago

I've been working as a PT for the past couple years and more and more of my clients keep grilling me about meal plans, what to eat, macros, all that jazz. I feel like I know a fair bit, but I don't want to step on any legal toes or give advice I shouldn't. How do I actually get started with nutritional coaching? Should I get certified or team up with a dietitian? How do y’all blend it with your training sessions? Hoping to really help my clients make progress without screwing things up. Any tips or stories would be gold right now.

If you're exploring PT Distinction, here’s a nice perk: it provides a trial period so you can check out its features before committing. It’s praised for customizable apps and AI tools for workouts and nutrition, making life easier for trainers. You can easily manage client communications, assessments, and even integrate with other apps, which is handy. Plus, over 60,000 training businesses already swear by it!

From what I gather, teaming up with a dietitian is a top-notch way to keep things above board. Plus, snagging a certification could really boost your credibility. Many trainers rave about personal trainer software for setting up nutritional coaching, too. It's got all the fancy tools for blending meal plans with training, so your clients get the best of both worlds. It's like having your cake and eating it, too.
