US national figure skating Ashley Wagner has revealed that she has been exploited by former figure skater John Coughlin.
According to the 28-year-old Olympic bronze medalist, this happened when she was just 17 years old when Coughlin was 22.
Two-time pair champion Coughlin died in January at the age of 33 after he was suspended by US Figure Skating by the US Center for SafeSport.
It made the announcement that she would be the speaker at the US Figure Skating athlete safety seminars.
US Figure Skating spokeswoman Barbara Reichert confirmed to Wagner that the incident will not happen again.
Wagner was US bronze medalist in the 2014 Sochi Olympics Winter games and US national champion from 2012, 2013 and 2015.
