Dear greetings everyone,
I’m @azit1980

I welcome you to a new blog today with love and respect. I hope everyone is living a beautiful life by the infinite grace of God. I am also doing well with your prayers.
First of all, I would like to wish you a Happy Bengali New Year. Today is Chaitra Sankranti; many events are going on in the village today. On this day, a Mangal Shobhajatra is taken out in the morning, and everyone participates in this Mangal Shobhajatra. Not only that, Panta Hilsa is a special morning food of the Bengali nation. However, for the last few years, we have stopped eating Panta Hilsa. Vegetarians eat on this day. I went to the market to buy some things for the house. I didn't have any money at home, so I went to the ATM booth. The Dutch Bangla Bank booth is so crowded on holidays; people are withdrawing money with cereals. Taking pictures inside the ATM booth is prohibited, but I managed to take a picture on my mobile phone without the security guard noticing. I had been standing for a long time; there were so many people, I had been standing in the queue for a long time. I was able to take a picture during this gap.
The place I went to is located next to the Buriganga River. I am thinking of going to the riverbank for a while on my holiday. Since I have no plans to go anywhere today, maybe going to the riverbank will refresh my mind. The water of the river looks so clear today, the weather is very good, but very hot. After I went near the river, I saw a launch going from Dhaka to Barisal. Even though the launch was far away from me, I zoomed in and took a picture. After a while, I saw a boat coming from Sadarghat, Dhaka. The hot water in the river made me want to take a bath. If I had had someone with me, I would have taken a bath.
The temperature today is so hot that it is impossible to look into the sun, but even in such hot weather, being near the river makes the heat a little less. The water has gone down a lot from the riverbank; the water is at least 50 feet below the riverbank. I went down 35 feet from the riverbank and took a picture. Located on the other side of the Buriganga River is the factory of Bashundhara Company, a well-known company in Bangladesh. Bashundhara LP Gas, soybean oil, flour, and semolina are produced here. Many people from this area are employed in this factory. Not only that, but Bashundhara Group has also built Ad-Din Hospital on the other side. I have been to the hospital a few times. I took a picture from this side. But it is very nice to see the other side of the river.
Hundreds of people work on the banks of the Buriganga River every day, but brick making is the most common activity here. Every day, cargo launches full of bricks arrive here and are unloaded. Some people are also working on breaking bricks using machines. The workers do not get paid for the amount of work they put in, yet they have to work to make ends meet. I stood there for a while and saw the extent of their suffering. Compared to them, we are a thousand times better off.
Sandalwood is used for worship at home; my wife has been asking me to buy sandalwood from Pagla Bazar for a few days. There is a shop for those who follow a vegetarian diet; all kinds of things are available here. I thought sandalwood would not be available in Pagla Bazar. I asked the shopkeeper if he had any sandalwood. The price of the wood I had in my hand was 150 takas. Looking at the wood, I didn't think it was real sandalwood. Still, I took it home. After taking it home, my wife said that this is not sandalwood, but sandalwood, which is being sold as sandalwood. The wood you brought, if it is original, its price is over 500 taka. What else should I do? I brought it back from home.
But one smart thing I did was to return the wood and bring home moong dal. Moong dal is very popular at home, and on the day I cook vegetarian food, I will cook moong dal, but on the day I cook non-vegetarian food, I will not cook lentil dal. The impact of the war is also continuing in Bangladesh. Due to this impact, our middle-class family is in a lot of trouble. We can't manage our family with the amount of income and expenses. The prices of everything have increased a lot. Oil is being sold at a higher price than what is written on the label. The company's price is mentioned on the oil, which is a punishable offense to sell more than that, but who will judge whom? The shopkeeper said, "If you don't buy it, then we have nothing to do. We are in danger; we have to buy it if we want to eat."
"Thank you so much for reading my unique post." |
